Ghost Dances
Arrangement and Score
By Robert Rilling
A tribute to all Americans
BigFoot would take his children…
and camped at Wounded Knee..
lightning had shown him where to go…
Long knives had caused much sorrow…
hunger and Misery
the blood they spilled had made them free.

By the Pine were Dancers..
Go blind so you can see..
Great Spirit, heed my call
Ghost Dances set them Free

Father, I come before you..
my broken arrows bleed..
show me the way and see me through..
mother, I cannot believe..
they kill with no decree…
Brother, come with me..

Through the clouds they came..
Go blind so you can see..
Great Spirit, heed my call
Ghost Dances set them Free

*A true ritual in which the dancers see visions*

Welcome to Passions.  Do I know you?     What's really neat, Robert, is to see that you and I haven't forgotten our true passions.

So glad to finally have you aboard.  You're really going to enjoy the folks, too...

Fagin,
I enjoyed this immensely.  My husband finds such spirituality in drumming and my son, soon to dance...

My favorite line was the one about going blind so to see

Great poem!  Says alot...

Ah yes, another good one from the lyricist. I would suggest to everybody to take a look at robert's poem in Critical Analysis as well.

and i'm certain that if i drive into those trees, it would make less of a mess, than she's made of me...

Yep, m'dear, I'm afraid you're going to have to come up with one or two more lyrics.     And what a compliment from LucidityNow!
