Pressing my face to the windowpane,
watching the droplets run unevenly
wondering how the stretch
of their existence would feel,
as they journey to the bottom.

Too light to make the pitter-patter sounds.
Instead, only the sloshing noise
of cars traveling by.

Rainy Days and Mondays, my favorites,
allowing me to excuse myself under the covers,
hiding from the outside stimuli
that is a constant irk to my mood.

Today I am not worthy
of any discourse on life.
Faithful to myself alone,
I shall forget all promises,
finding myself in second place today,
watching the rain trickling down.

M

hmmmm .... did you look deeply into my eyes?
... and reflect my thoughts?

Very rainy here too .... and for once I am the lazy one enjoying just to be.

You have created a lovely poem.

Love, Margherita

Oh, how I LOVE this thought~

Rained all night here ... and continued until about an hour ago ... now the sun is gracing my day~

I could picture it...
perfectly.
It'd be so nice to forget all promises
for just awhile.
I like this.

~ That is exactly the kind of day that I have been having! I snuggled under my comforter and shut the world out while listening to the raindrops fall! Ah, so peaceful!

Grover,  well it is tomorrow since I wrote this and it is still raining and will at least  until tomorrow...it does make you  moody though, *s

Thank you,  Margherita ...these days make you feel lazy..but it's awful to have to go out into it  job hunting.

Sy, a little rest is always welcome...but it must be my age...this weather though needed puts an unrest on my mood.

Dixie, yes..sometimes promises need to be forgotten or delayed a day or two.

Margie, well it always rains in Florida..for a short while and then the sun begins to shine...I had to chase a bird off my front porch and remove its beautiful nest today..it was in the way of my front door overhang and I was being  "flown at" everytime I entered or left the house...no  eggs in it though ..   feeling guilty now..

Nancy,  tea sounds wonderful...I can barely stay awake on days like this.

JL, thank you for the visit

Alyssa,  some days it is nice to sit back and not worry about a thing...I wonder if I will ever see those days again

LeeJ, I am in PA too..southern part near the Maryland line ..I think all of PA is getting rain today...and that hubby?  He lives in the barn for now...*smiling*
I ran out of firewood  2 weeks ago, so no fire for me...

Linda,  that was yesterday for me..today I was forced to go out in the heavier rains...and there is another day of it to come ~sighing~

Donna,  I can't believe April will be 12...growing up so fast. Wish her a happy birthday for me..some day we will get together and enjoy a  peaceful day...I still recall the beautiful ride to Carlisle and  the park where we chatted...I have to smile at all those  on here who feel they are  getting old..when I am  about 10-15 years older than them...now that is getting old
