You want me to be silent To hold my words in perfect joy Play the role of seraf Bowing at your feet for the crumbs you offer Sometimes you talk as though we're equals We laugh and wonder As though you know I exist The moments fade quickly Too short for memory's capture I dream of childhood A time when being sisters Was all we truly had I always wake bleeding Crimson pouring from eyes Shadows clarity blurred I'll never be a mom Not even close to marriage What I understand of those worlds I learned by watching Those worlds suit you perfectly But they aren't for me I'll always be too different Broken in my way But I don't mind the cracks They only hurt When silence reminds me I'll never again be your sister Then again memories can lie Perhaps I never truly was I was a poet once and now I flounder in shallow water searching for my lost voice. |

This aches. I don't know what I would do without my sister. Oh, we have had our arguments ove the years, but, that's life....and we carry on as sister's do. Well done. Enjoyed. Chris Life itself is the most wonderful fairy tale. |
