It happened just as you feared, And now you can’t sleep at night. You’ve grown accustomed to my beard And the hat that I wear to the side. It was simpler then. We were distant. Three rows separated our seats And you turned your head every instant That our careless gazes would meet. I was then too shy to approach you. I considered you out of my league. From the back of the classroom, I watched you And studied your stunning physique. And we couldn’t have imagined it ever That we’d fall in love, on a whim, That we’d end up happy together, That you’d have to explain it to him. Very good write here. Caught me off guard at the ending. Chris Life itself is the most wonderful fairy tale. |
