Shuffling, circling, dance to the slow chanting. Visions of your dead ancestors, mystical encounters of the past. Five days of chanting, exhausted and entranced. Falling into unconciuosness, importance across the nations. Messianic, appocalyptic, searching for answers and guidance for the future. White devils at your door. Survival of your unique lives, indigenous people of beauty. Great mystical spirit, oh wash the white man from the plains. Return the land back, into the guardians of nature. Resurrect the fallen guardians, honour the dead for the coming new world. ''There is no need for temples, no need for complicated Philosophies. |

The first stanza had me dancing along with you. Of course when you tried to wash me off the plains I resented it, but I'm just like that. OK, only part of me was resenting it, the Cherokee part was saying, 'hey! that's an idea! ' Nan (Pilgrim variety) |

WOW, Astonishing poetry! I'm entirely with you on this one. The tone throughout was amazing and you lined the stanzas with such a powerful message! ^*~*^*~*^*~*^*~*^*~*^ I loved the line... "honour the dead for the coming new world" such a powerful end to a powerfully splendid poem! ^*~Kimberley~*^ "Theres no posession, just obsession and growing depression" |

An intersting composition. Thank you for posting. I have long said we should give Manhatten back to the indians. However, I don't think they are dumb enough to take it; at least not in the condition it is in today. Regards, INclan |

Instead of washing the white man off the plain they can just simply shower him with their wisdom and make him appreciate their deep bond with Nature ... Beautiful tribute. Love, Margherita |
