Awareness and Fear Tonight we swim.. Alone, in silence, and creeping darkness. Plight swells upon imagination, green illumination. Painted faces, departing souls, creeping beneath the jungle’s flora, hidden as chameleon’s son. Lessons learned now revealed external covering of a poacher’s skin... Peering down range counting “clicks” precision will find, as moonlight dances between effervescent trees… Drawn breath echoes within an inner ear, awareness, and fear. Somewhere a fatherless child, no husband’s farewell, an anticipated loneliness tonight, with no tears, seamless continuity, no breach, report and clear... Downing a frozen bitter chill, a taste swallowed, understood, and protected. Skilled trade done, completed tasks: regroup back with wolves of the dark, A retreating pack, whispering, ‘well-done’, thoughts collected, current application cannot be undone, or ever erased from minds so young. Boys as men, sometimes pretend, but dismayed again, and again. Beyond thoughts, a burning soul, alone a tear, something this pack must never hear… Always ready, always alert, never forget: awareness and fear. |

You brought a vivid paint of a man's life...so often lived in two worlds... The cunning, slick and stealth of business, and the tender softness of a lovers touch. Brought someone special to my mind. Thanks for the clarity. TD |

Incredibly good I dont think anyone knows when boys become men and most of us are very pleased about that Dave |
