Shifting, the invisible swirl
ruffling a lock, squinting an eye
in wait the calm.

Hearing the singing sigh as
branches, leaves caress the touch
of nature’s breath.

Alone, beyond the hills, the valley
unfolds lazily as a stream courses
the meander of life, as waters flow
toward the rage of torrents waiting
beyond the horizon’s edge.

Beyond the present, the future lying
in wait of the traveler, as steps
taken upon the path of life fade
into the distance of time yet seen.

Though I fear the unknown,   I shall
steadily walk.  For thou art with me.
My hand,  held firmly...as courage
courses mightily the veins of man.

Barry
Good to read your words again my friend.
There's lots of strength in faith isn't there?
I really love these lines
"as steps
taken upon the path of life fade
into the distance of time yet seen"

Too true and such a good write!
