Aging Psychic

I remember waiting
for the bus (it was
cloudy and windy,
but it wouldn't rain)
when the vision came,
like I knew that I knew
that I knew that it would.

She would be there,
third seat from the back,
chewing strawberry Bubblicious
and listening to Doolittle
on headphones hidden in
her blonde, or brunette, hair
(visions can be like that).

I would say hello and
she would say hello and
things would go on like
that for some time, but
not forever, and eventually
it would all end.

And because that did not
seem so appealing, I let
the bus come and go without
getting on.  Instead, I turned
and walked home as the first
raindrops began falling
to await another vision.

in heaven,
everything is fine

I enjoyed this dream sequence, Ryan. Sometimes, it's good to miss the bus.

Yeah, there's a million bus stops in this old world.

This is funny to me because I know what dreams and visions are like. They always have weird things, and they're put in the weirdest of manners.... but so often they're just things you don't want. In a dream a few months ago God (I'm certainly no psychic) told me I'd make two friends (one blonde and one brunette... I almost always know either the hair or the eyes... the blonde was to be tall, the brunette young and my height) and then at some point they'd betray me. Well in a couple weeks I met them, and now we're friends... friends on the rocks though, 'cause as it seems, they're beraying me. It's kinda funny, all that just to say, I know what its like. Maybe I should have turned around, too.

Always, Alyssa
