Solitary inspired by Zen Drizzle drizzle, glass of whiskey Oceanic lectures remembered With tactical challenges Loosening my fee will After midnight but… Indeed continue to think Like a mystical utterance Bright mirrors of water crystal on for miles And miles…a passage of various seasons I am a swing containing a certain capital After midnight…. Through the trees, wind reaches out With hoodwink humor…scented realism Becomes my limousine For I must piece together the whole of things After midnight… Expensive people take you there Along with middle age …a good memory…a deeper sail yielding the nature of true friendship After midnight… And a perfect summer morning Boundless optimism Gleaning from the intellect of my laundry Hanging on the line to air, to explore, to pick up Any lint along the way, in the breeze of passage Mating thoughts becomes the lamb After midnight… A circus of quiet when all asleep Sounds of rings charming and elegant Stars brilliantly sing Listen, their emotional level in subtlety Painting a portrait… Oh, how I jam these sprays into my pockets For historical reasons only the teacher smiles but I am unaware After a particular sense falls gracefully Together, like little metaphysical particles After midnight, I come closer to the truth Listening, listening to art, the classics of dreamland, awake in my white wicker chair After midnight, in the quiet…lovely peace...silence One can hear a bird dream, and green leaves in night air sing Or...are they merely listening to, saying, yes, Lord, we will Create, we will hear you Then, all is so unperfect, that it becomes perfect perhaps that is the way of things in the quiet after midnight? |

I love the quiet after midnight! That is when I go into my own form of Zen mode! Enjoyed your cascading thoughts and the images! Linda |

Lovely Lee..this, "After midnight, in the quiet…lovely peace...silence One can hear a bird dream, and green leaves in night air sing" and then... "Then, all is so unperfect, that it becomes perfect perhaps that is the way of things in the quiet after midnight?" Very very much enjoyed those passages especially. Excellent write. You totally amaze me.My favorites: "After midnight, in the quiet…lovely peace...silence One can hear a bird dream, and green leaves in night air sing Or...are they merely listening to, saying, yes, Lord, we will Create, we will hear you Then, all is so unperfect, that it becomes perfect perhaps that is the way of things in the quiet after midnight?" LeeJ -- amazing, amazine write. The last two stanzas are my favorite part -- the birds, yes, they create......yes, perhaps it is the imperfection that is perfect! Loved this. ...jo |
