Listening to every heart

An Ease of Breeze

For a brief moment, without hesitation,
I discarded my name today,
becoming, instead,
a slip of breeze

I traveled north, south, east, west
looking for a soul
in need of a caress.

An open window
invited me in,
as a widow’s single tear was dried
by this cool wind…

I slipped along,
finding a child, alone,
and carried that one small voice
to his mother’s ear…

an upper gust, then spied from high
a lonely sailor, his eye to the sky ~
I pushed away the clouds that hid
the shoreline for which
he searched…

I blew by a man on
a white sand beach,
his cane writing a name
deep in the sand ~
I blew the surf ankle deep
leaving memory’s shell
within the confines of his sandy heart…

all that was left to be done
before waning sun
slipped the horizon,
before I had to become me
once more,
was to carry a bluebird’s song
north, south, east, west…
then move your wind chimes
one more time

before I sighed away.

Karilea - if I whisper, will you listen?  Keeping in mind, I must stand close...

Ahhh so it was this breeze that made my windchimes sing.
Lovely lovely thoughts here Karilea.

And this enchanting breeze just touched my cheeks in a soft caress too ....

Beautiful vision of the heart.

soooo creative, Karilea.   Do you think I could do that if I discarded my name, too?
How very clever.
