Footfalls soft
in childish glee
glory chasing rainbow's end
sponge grass meadow
there beneath
her heels
as grass returns to clasp
forever hidden
path she made
through the pasture
of my mind
leaving me
with just a hint
of where to go from here.

Make believe and Alice calls
we travel where the Rabbit's foot
tracked among the leaves
silently whispers caught our stall
and in amaze we gazed upon
redwoods tall and mushroomed clouds
loomed before our sight
here upon the path of paths
and too soon
darkness claimed it--night.

hint-hint-hint
bellybutton lint
do not squint
at Venus' light
Pleiades  beacons from
miles away, as
seven sisters take our hands
another step
dare we take
shhhh, night creatures
should not wake.

Luna lights the center spot
eyelid curtains fringed with lash
flutter drop the end of play
asleep as book turns one last page
wishing her upon her way
keeping pace
with footfall dreams.

A Duet, with Sunshine

...and you know, m'dear, this came just
at the right time, when I needed a little
place to escape to, and I could not think
to do it with anyone else in this latter
part of March...

but now I want to do it again!

Thank you, my friend...thank you very much!

Ethome, I hope she and I will duet again soon...this was truly off the cuff and a wonderful break for me...I've been feeling a bit "restricted" lately!

Thanks to everyone that read this, and walked that little path with us for just a moment...
