Of Boilers The boilers stoked and full of coal I’m on my way to find my soul Most the tempest gone and past And age has reached calm sea at last. But what is this, this subtle pain That tolls my body’s every strain It dulls my eyes and hearing too Time has caught me in a coup It sapped my juice and vital signs Took the spring from out my spine Shriveled me to lesser size Wiser but with lesser guise I teeter at the slightest breeze Nor can I steer the ship with ease I curse the passing of my prime I curse the change of mortal time But cursing is a waste of breath For in the end there’s naught but death. |

And Death be not the proud black taker for one who seeks and seizes Maker When we shall all be in one hand who once blew breath into all Man So until that day comes to claim any of us we know by name Come and sit here beside me, Sy, sip some tea and we'll write the sky... ~*~ Those early morning aches will soon be soothed by some warm Sun, Sy...now smile, and bid me a good morning Hi... |
