Three wishes…fell spinning from heaven itself
And I danced in the rain…not smugly, but joyfully
The order of things had taken careful settlement
My heart was light and radiant…A dazzling brunette
Your cautious smart remarks pinched my fancy-free

For months I walked on by, looking over my shoulder
Catching your eye, and wondering what spark might smolder
Your wit, always worn a tight fit…and delight
Conversing in the whipped cream light…finger painted charms
A part of me awoke without my permission, or yours

Parceled into smaller dishes…feast of delicate and tender bits
Tangle throated as we sipped of storms and ginger root
Convulsing in the reality of what it was…and I spoke it
Like a sin that slapped your pride and courage
With thunders smoke, you flee so fearfully from love

A ten on the Rector Scale ...

"Like a sin that slapped your pride and courage"

Beautiful imagery the speaking of love can have such a deep effect on one. Reminds me of the first time someone spoke those words to me. I ran like a mouse from an owl.

A secret place high atop the forest hills and valleys touched by all you have been and content to be all that you are.
