Psychiatric Ward: discharged

highway fever melting rubber
tires easily into fatigue
wear, worn out-- blown out
of reason, sanity crawls to a stop.

short screeches, scream leeches
the night, dark-- blackened
dreams, night-mares: female horses
run shoeless-- pitter-patter.

confused minds grope, rope
the wild stallion: tame mustang
pulls out onto a new road
with map in hand and new treads.

i would huddle in a corner in the fetal position rock back and forth and cry if i had to spend a day in your "psychiatric ward" (imagination) ...you're just too must for me :Þ

joy has its own justice. and dreams are languid and lawless. and everything bows to beauty, when it's fierce and when it's flawless...

Once when I was younger a friend of mine had a mental illness and I went to visit. The women were put into little cottages and I thought how sad this place. I seen old people there just because they were old. Some very ill. What a mix this one little cottage had.
Interesting write.

With a good map and new tires, you can go anywhere. I like the ending of this one.

hopefully you are good at reading maps, so you'll never lose your way again
i enjoyed this because you exposed a vulnerable place in a way anyone could "feel" it
