Questions about light

Is it, as they say
that what we perceive as pure and white
is, in fact, the sum of all colors
and that our poor eyes can recognize
but a fraction of those?

Could it be so indiscriminate
as to fall equally upon everything
nourishing the weed as well as the rose
and that this essential energy
when focused too closely
would be their undoing?

Or, that at the end of our journey
Just before we reach the period
at the end of the last sentence
on the last page of our life
we are called home to it?

But, the real question, I guess
is the nature of what illuminates her
I find myself wondering
if the light that plays tag in her eyes
and shines warmly in her hair
is of the very best quality

"In looking Northward, I see a light"

Ed

Light is really that which opens things to the point where we can see them even in the dark.

I love this pondering poem!

Monet knew.

He had to learn to paint quickly, in order to remain honest to the moment. He knew how fleeting the integrity of light and life actually is...

but then, I've seen your photography.

I know that you know this too.

Yes, Martie...Lately I've been overindulging that conceit.

Absolutely beautiful, Ed.
We get a glimpse of what light really is through the eyes of love.

Well done Ed.  If you see her beauty then the light is good.

Worth reading a second time!  And, I'm glad I did, because there was another treasure here (Dave's response).
