I’m a little nervous about it…

I mean…
Familiar is the mind taking its portion

After all, liberty and culture are dieting
To an almost anorexic noose
Sour faces with no cause but brute force
One sided beliefs
Defended by their own rule of life forms
Predators owning dead eyes of a shark
In the name of religion?
In the name of freedom?
In the name of science?
In the name of my country…..
It all seems so Hollywood!
Spreading throughout dust, passions, trust
Transforming agents of fact
Like a Random House Fiction
There is no vaccine for Cold War
It becomes public…with legs and arms
Hard-core members teaching impurities

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." -- Philosopher George Santayana.

Restored tolerance grows
Naming life traditional debris
Laughing at things we should deem
Immoral and corrupt
Feeding off the lives of false history
Like dogs eating their last meal
Until the next time….

Negotiating a single voice
Manners are traveling to a different home
In a reoccurring dream
Throwing all neighbors out the window
We cannot postpone time
Nor ask it to leave

I’m still trying to digest Madrid
In all its despair, grief and pain
When will we remember?
Those ghastly layovers
I’m still waiting at the airport
For Shakespeare
Lingering in a semi conscious state
Saying good-by to the American Dream
Like magic passed right through me
Eating corrosive acid indigestion
Exposing children
Seems to be a trend these days
And for starters…I don’t clean bed pans
But will, if need be, as long as I don’t feel like I must
It’s not my job…alone?

Hey is anybody out there or listening?
I didn’t see your names on my caller I.D.?
Are we able to purify our water?
Replenish our soil
Take out the garbage, towel up pools of blood
Left in high places, by organ donors
They’re crashing into my windshield
Like bugs….bald with rage
Dead and gone….the living dead
Celebrates Life?

Lee

I dont like the idea that we put behind us what happened anyone in the world.

The destruction by the terroist groups ignores someone who became a prime minister and planted a bomb in a hotel killing innocent british people.

When I am blown to bits who'se ally, planted it, or was this a tuesday and we changed allies.

Every country has killed and to avoid jail, everyone calls it freedom.

Who funded the IRA to kill in my country.

Who kill people from my country in Israel in a hotel and became a Prime Minister.

I dont like my words any more than you do, but it made me think of what we thought was a gas explosion by the Old Bailey and who cared as terror was funded.

LeeJ -- strong, important writing.  Sad that it has come to this.  We have a job in all of this, and you know what it is.
