I once met Gordon Lightfoot. He was patronizing my restaurant many years ago. He was with two women and he introduced me to himself and the girls. He paid me some very nice compliments and left the waiter a big tip. He was a real nice guy. (Of course, I now own one of his CDs.)

Many years ago, Gordon Lightfoot's nephew took me to his grandmother's home (Gordon's Mom's home) in Orillia, Ontario! That was the closest I have been to one of my favourite balladeers! ~ of course my absolute favourite Balladeer is a Pipster!

I was a big Lightfoot fan, as well. Really enjoyed this, Dave! And Sunshine....what can I possibly say after reading your lovely tributes!
