title -"When the question is asked" I cannot help but answer the way I do Even though it provokes shock in those who ask The answer they expect is so predictable Vain in their ways so material and obvious To be a millionaire, to own a jaguar To go on a cruise, to date a model I believe people who want these things Don’t really need them Possibly they don’t even want them They simply just followed When the world told them what they wanted I see myself different After answering I cannot help but feel That maybe I too am following Just in my own way If I could have anything in the world, What would it be? Perhaps you could predict my answer Maybe it too, is obvious With nothing worth living or dying for What else could I wish for than... Hope, Dreams, prosperity and peace I could live a thousand lifetimes Without material possessions I may even sell my soul If I believed I had one Just to know the world would be ok Then maybe I should stop crawling Through my small existence Without a head and a heart And be content as the rest of the world. Im new to poetry if you liked it please tell me what you think of my other stuff |

I could live a thousand lifetimes Without material possessions I may even sell my soul If I believed I had one Just to know the world would be ok a good person you are to be pondering such thoughts , mt.row ....keep writing on ....... |
