Listening to every heart

Believing In What Breathes

She believes in others
more for them
to see that belief lift their spirits
            and she breathes…

She believes in the child
and helps wipe away, the
“can’t, don’t, no” of their
existence
            and she breathes…

She believes in the forces
of nature, the good and
bad of the wind and sun,
rain, tornadoes, hurricanes
sweeping through her days…
            and she breathes…

She believes in things
she can’t see
and things that she can
            and she breathes…

She believes in the aged,
that they have mostly lead
good lives, those who still
have a lesson to teach, so she listens,
            and she breathes…

She believes in what she hears
and doesn’t hear,
reads between lines,
separating chaff from wheat
            and she breathes…

She believes in the you of you,
true of you, she holds tight
to your dreams when you
lose them, so they may be
returned, unharmed, still safe…
            and she breathes…

She believes in smiles,
that in passing them around,
others will smile, and it
will pass on, for in that gesture,
the flutter of a butterfly’s wing
will create a breeze felt miles away…
            and she breathes…

She believes in the young
and middle aged,
those who wage truth,
who fight the good fight,
lose graciously,
strive to attend the next battle,
moving forward to live,
from day to day,
            and she breathes…

She believes in one true love,
one that is given for the act of giving,
that her own love will be accepted for
the sake of the gift,
one love, that will either be here…
or there…
            and she breathes…

She believes in one man
who believes in her
~ because ~
and
~ always ~

            and she breathes…

She believes in breathing
and in breathing believes
she will live to gasp, and grasp again,
one more day…

            and she breathes…

Sunshine,
I had to visit this before rushed and running!  Glad I did.  This makes for a great pick-me-up and starter.  You words breathe fresh air.

Wonderful Karilea...absolutely.

Sunshine, I really like this one.  I especially like the change you ring on the chaos butterfly, making it a positive thing. There is a warmth to this that makes it well worth reading.

In total acceptance... she breathes. We need to read about strong and positive people. Thanks!
