What happened to when anything was possible
To when everything was possible?
What happened to being whatever I wanted to be
To doing whatever I wanted to do?
What happened to stories of hopes
To the stories of dreams?
What happened to Daddy being the strongest man in the world,
To Mommy being the most beautiful woman alive?
What caused the once cloudy skies to be beautiful,
To become ugly.
Why has the water lost it's reflection,
The day lost its luster?
What happened to the story books,
to the love at first sight?
What happened to seeing your love,
whenever you wanted?
Why must me struggle to live,
and be so careless to die?
Why are life's tears never of happiness,
Always of sadness?
Why do tears taste so bitter,
Why is the world so dark?
Why has work become so much more important than life,
More important than love or concern?
Why has innocence lost it's definition,
and anger gained every emotion?
Why does the mind darken,
When the sun hits the eyes?
Why can I not go home?
Why must I stay?
Why are we surrouned by those we hate,
And distanced from the ones we love?
Why is it no one can answer my question.
