Of Specters Specters show in forms of force That lifts you up in winds of toss And carry you to Isles of wiles Where styles and riles are whirly guiles They stir your senses to a boil Cook them on a spit of foil Render them to memory grease Less the wick to burn in peace They splutter like a popcorns bust Full of sound and full of lust Sanctioning a fantasy A little bit of lunacy They are the friction rubs of bind That lights a flame within your mind And turns a ghost to spirit host To bring the fear that chars the toast They lives within the echo swells They are the sounds of memory bells. |
