I have spent two weeks luxuriating in the waste of letting evening ideas fail so they gain no bits of ink It is always at the latest hour the last chance to carve the stone of a dying day so many deaths so many choices to leave a trail even of dust or tracks where one has been Ah, but to listen to grand ideas and noises in the head then to let them flee and not tie them down One is supposed to tie them down Isn't that what you have been telling me? I have ignored them I have let them go Now, here I sit watching the ink appear again as though it were a potion to release the guilt And maybe I will sleep through this night alone © 012804 |

Glad you tied this one down Krawdad. It was well worth the string... |

Krawdad I sure understand this...both the desire to tie it down and the need to leave it alone. Good to see this one and the thought that went into it. |

you inspire me....ty His Poetry thoughts light your path at night leaning softly into linger remember there is truly a fire within started from the stirring of glowing embers and if your pen does not touch the page still you write for words inked across a heart is poetry out of sight |

Thank you all for your replies, and Helen . . . You are a dear soul. Have I ever told you that? *smoooch* And you wrap a poem like a warm blanket! e |

So you know how it feels to catch those fleeting moments and pin down those thoughts during the wee hours...keep the thoughts flowing.. |

I go looking for what is real. I find it on the third try, and it is this poem. Kaz |
