I do not miss you when you’re gone.
You think I grieve, my heart is torn.

You say I think of nothing else.
But my days are free, there is no stress.

I never question where you are.
I do not care that you are far.

My thoughts are light, my mind is clear.
I do not fret that you aren’t near.

Instead of email I want to read.
My life is full of routine deeds.

It is a relief to be alone.
No urge to call you on the phone.

There is no guilt, no burning thoughts,
Or worries that it’s you I’ve lost.

I know you want me to be strong.
I do not miss you when you’re gone.

Yes, we believe ya too...that's why you wrote this...right?.....You hang in there...cuz we know you mean every word of this....EVERY ONE!!..Of course you do..I love Balladeer and LongJohn writing all those terrible things about me too....And Monica Lewinsky's a virgin, so is Madonna, and all the women want me too!!!

You are strong. I think this poem could be interpreted both ways. Maybe it is straightforward and the honest truth of it, then maybe it is how Toerag said. Either case, it was a good poem!
