Picture From Picture It

The Beauty of A Person’s Hands

They are
unique in their own personal way,
a person’s hands.
Like a baby’s hands-
Soft and warm
Tiny fingers curious and tender,
reaching out to the world and its untold mysteries.
A young child-
Nails broken and dirty
Fingers stroking your cheek when a tear gently falls down your dampened face.
Hands of an artist or a musician-
Their fingers long and elegant filled with grace.
Hands of a working man of the field,
or the mother
who gently caresses the pain and hurt away.
The doctor’s hands strong and sensitive
with a tender healing touch.
Each finger pattern is different never two the same.
They are like a well traveled highway
going in many directions with many destinations.
My hands are small, not very strong,
they are filled with love and tenderness.
They are a painter of words.
They are one person's hands.

....Saved! My goodness, I loved this poem for soooo many reasons! For one thing, it is a lovely write, and for another thing, I am soooo into hands! I am a reflexologist (feet & hands), a hand analyst, a hands-on-healer, an artist, a musician... and I love looking at, and holding, other people's hands.

I enjoyed this write very much!

Love & Light,
EA

This is absolutely beautiful!
Reminded me of my father's hands..
for with them he performed magic.

Poetry is not an opinion expressed...
it is a song that rises from a bleeding wound
...or a smiling mouth.
