Wind The wind blows sails upon the sea A steady course eternity Of colored hew each day of morn On crystal dew to sight the dawn I’ve chased horizons in the past Beyond my catching is the cast I cannot close the host of space It stays forever one to chase. And ever is a heady wine An aphrodisiac of brine It makes me think in wily seem And manifests my every dream Sometimes I am a butterfly Sometimes I sit and only sigh Sometimes I sing the song of awe Sometimes I cry for evermore. Whatever is, each day a coup? Whatever is, each day is new. |
