I stood one day on a golden plateau; And watched the sun set over endless wheat, But under infinite sky and rainbow cloud; Then pondered of the stars in all their majesty, Felt cool wind lift my heart, and toss all hate from my soul; And when this happened I felt a clean slate, As if to be reborn, but not of god simply reborn. Then it happened, love struck, With the force of a thousand gales, And a million tons of rock plummeting overhead, As if some unimaginable mountain slide were to smite me; Much to my surprise I ducked and cowered, With hands behind head I lay prostrate; And as boulders flew and gales tormented, Rain pummeled and yet I hold true; We may cower and weep before love, And allow the forces of outside prevail, Yet we still love threw misery and joys, Even be they unknown to those who have not loved; And why do we do such things to ourselves? I can only speculate but if I were to be asked, I would be forced to say; Love is masochism in all its glory, And may heaven or earth stand before us, We would ignore both if only for a minute of bliss. |

Enjoyed this look at masochism. LOL, many images to ponder. |

First I have read of you. A wealth of images here, and well done. To endure such, that moment must be worth heaven and earth...and so, I have no question in my mind. Welcome ThisDiamond |

Welcome to Passions, Cold Eternity. This was a fabulous write and, quite frankly, admissably true in many cases! |
