Misleading endeavors
shifts in reverse  
with all good intentions
strategically placed
between full stops
and line breaks
side swiped
slamming head on
ripping into my smile  
disheartened by the divider
I should have known better.

I prefer you without bruises, so I agree with Kahlil.  Shoulda, woulda, coulda, if only Ida hada...will only leave you as disoriented as Richard III on Bosworth Field looking for a horseshoe nail.

I hope you soon can turn your great and obvious poetic skills to happier thoughts.
