The Other Part

A part of me wanted to stay
the other part said, it was time to go
My love I had proven to you
as I waited for yours to show

With too many days left alone
for me to think about my life
I had come to the conclusion
nothing would ever be alright

Filled with such confusion then
I put off doing what I needed to do
Hoping things would soon get better
and I would be able to stay there with you

I watched you each and everyday
but the signs were not there
It was then that I decided
That you didn't even care

So as I packed and cried the tears
feeling unwanted and so unworthy
I vowed to never let myself love again
to feel the pain you had given me

Sue, please don't allow anyone to take away your pleasure of loving.
The past is the past. Move on and allow this new life to bring you unexpected joy.

Once you let go...
you will allow others in.
I'm so proud of you for not allowing
yourself
to stay in a place that was harming you,
mentally, emotionally....
you did the right thing.

Now, look forward.
