When you dream of the ocean, the beach and the waves,
does your heart and mind sense the essence of me?
In your mind’s eye, what do you see?
Can you feel that I’m an integral part
of this ocean of reality?

Have you ever stood on a beach,
let the waves ripple ‘round your legs,
felt the wet sand suck your feet down
further with each new wave that washed ashore?
Did you listen to the waves curl and break
upon themselves and the shoreline?
Do you remember noisey flocking seagulls searching for food?
Can you feel the temperature of the waters
and the salty taste of a misty spray on a windy day?
Do you feel yourself stepping over fine and rough pebbles, broken shells
as your mind feels the tangle of kelp as it floats
within the flotsam and jetsom upon the rolling waves?
Does your nose twitch with recall
the smell of a red tide at sunset?

When you dream of the ocean, the beach and the waves,
are your heart and mind open to feel and to see?
In your mind’s eye, can you sense the essence of me?
For I am an integral part
of this ocean of 3D reality.
