          These crayons I hold in minds hand
          to sculpt images once waxed;
          Like eyes, they melt in wait
          forming puddled mold.

There is a sweetness in our naive and innocent ways...like love's beginning, bright and unrestricted...
Realities can be harsh and bold...thick lines that cannot settle calmly.
Can you tell you stirred a lot of paint here?
Excellent write.

Noah,
   I don't like sad endings either; I didn't say what could be found in the the molded puddles.  Perhaps, it was a permanency-a puddle of assorted waxings, resembling sheening oil upon water/or maybe not.   Anymore, I never look at things one way too long--kind of like looking at the sun--too blinding.
   Thanks for your comment, Noah.

diamond,
   I'm always happy to hear my poetry evokes emotion, but would be saddened if it brought back unwanted pain, or paint, as it may be.  I hope things are well with you.  Take care,
