Winter passes...in some kind of still eclipse Pebbled ice beneath dusting sleep powder Sometimes the chill has shaken through me Taking grasp in plummets that are far too far A recluse of fantasy and aberrant white light That clings in beads and leaves my skin wet The essence where you breathe into me velvet spaces Warming within the exhale, covering the shivered places Awakened still, the never sleep of missing so Between the thrills we used to know and need As seasons shift the changes taking root and seed Winter passes on, into the merry melt of once again to plead Copyright Kkh 2/27/04 |
