I hide your name in letters even air has weight if I touch air float my fingers through it does it reach you? We, no longer lovers testing time and distance in some unexpressed touch I still ache to feel I close my eyes letting snow surround me silently it falls and I, like a child, try to catch each flake upon my tongue to taste the memory of you once among them, I saw pure white I wanted to enter that world that place above s p r e a d i n g s k y to look down and over the lights of city in shades of hollow I heard your voice gentle and serene no color my dreams underwater between horizons - left behind you're searching for smaller things boxes of broken edges -- light against walls, captured where you stood-- through ashes watching gray hit the floor the earth moved & I thought of you -- of fate sometimes and what it means to renew I am here again waiting for a whisper where corners bend tapping all shadows to return your soul ~~ toujours l'amour ~~**~~ There are moments when speech is but a mouth pressed lightly and humbly against the angel's hands. |

Lauren, this was written with elegance and beauty...just b/c people do not compliment our dreams, souls, wants, desires, doesn't mean that we didn't or don't love them, just means there was not a common foundation to build on which would have tore the relationship apart eventually. We tend to gravitate towards those who think and feel the same way as we do...and needs in our lives to progress, doesn't mean anyone was wrong...it was just one of those things. This is what I see in your words, a very responsible, mature and gracious was to view a lost love. Beautiful! |

"the earth moved & I thought of you -- of fate sometimes and what it means to renew" I really enjoyed the motion (as well as the words) in this one. Very lovely, Lauren! jo |
