Song of Evermore

empty of ourselves we now stand
hearts nipped as with frostbite
though it seems like only yesterday
we took our first heated breath of love.

yes, we loved like lovers should
clinging to each other, it was so good
certain the end would not come
no it never could--
full of ourselves we once stood.

"No it never could!"

Oh, you have put this together so well, that now I feel so melancholic ...

(big angel hugs) Oh Grover, sometimes it just isn't meant to work out and I believe that happens so He can help us to become stronger and understand the gist of loves true potential, but He has a plan for all and you will find this evermore beauty, yay! (smiles) God less You, sweet friend, I send angel hugs your way, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Grover, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

On a night when I can't get warm, your words go straight to this heart. *S* Excellent!

Grover, this poem of yours, and mine of today are almost like a conversation!  I like yours....it's dreamy and right on the edge of the inevitable reality!  ~K~

You are right; it should feel this way.

Well done!

Grover,
Excellently written!  Ah, however, I don't think anything ever ends-loves just change, sometimes masquerades.  Granted, it might be easier to feel with the first breath and clinging arms!   Thanks, Grover-you got me thinking again.
