i tried to let my heart breathe but your feigned smile swallowed the air i tried to let my eyes hear but your pursed lips bid me flee into reverie…shallow thoughts on deep sighs puckered lips to sob the soul instead of kisses bright and bold i tried to let my heart breathe but the source of my soul was your candle of de-light faltering, flickering, pain-ted in the night. |
