Sickly sweet
love encircles my soul.
Pink promises
suffocating, aggravating.
Entrapment,
too strong
to hold onto.
And for one mindless minute..
I pray for the dark.

Winter prevails
Bleak black clouds, Blackened.
The sultry dim moonlight
dancing with the stars.
The blistering cold
of the night draws near.
I stand
in this unenchanting place
and wonder
when will I see the Sun.

I've had these thoughts before, but could never have realized what they were until I read it from your words.   Very well expressed!   Thank you.

Kim, this is one that I can relate to well. I know you have read some of my poems and know how I feel about things, so you should know that I love this piece!

I have been there, still visit regularly, and I wonder about the sun too.

Thankyou everyone for your feedback...
I have been absent from passions for a while as I'm now at University and my phoneline in the halls charges way too much for the internet.
Fortunately I'm back.
Its so nice to know that I've still got people who care enough to read my poetry.

Thanks again
*hugs you all*
