As I begin writing, sitting here feeling sad and blue
With tears in my eyes, for today I will not be seeing  you
I find myself  thinking about this amazing love we share
And of how loneliness for you is almost too much to bear

Then an endearing thought suddenly enters into my mind
Of how fortunate we are, this kind of love to find
So very rare it is to have found a love so deep and  true
This glorious feeling we have is mutual between me and you

So often when someone feels an enormous love for another
It sometimes is never felt the same in the heart of the other
So as I am thinking of this lonely feeling that we share
This feeling we have that seems so awfully hard to bear

I am also thinking of how thankful I am for you
And that we have in each other a forever love so true
Joy enters my heart and a big smile appears upon my face
And I thank God for you and our love that He gave us to embrace
