the walls curve into focus age old cracks spiral to a halt it is here where the brides stretch their ghostly fingers it is here where the baboon shivers with dreams tossing them out toward mnemonic sea only to have them bounce back up into her two-faced face yet she is colourful daisy’s spring from her eyes still and her lips move soundlessly into the dankness of shells she is sea-bitten she stands akimbo by the crippled shutters of the lighthouse chin-wagging the walls to the ground… this is where the cicadas reach her where the puissant waves repeatedly fold into her arms uninterrupted Beauty of the world which is soon to perish has two edges, one of laughter and one of anguish, cutting the heart asunder. |
