She wears her heart on her sleeve your pin on her jeans the memories you gave her they're strewn around somewhere in the mess you left Argue about the bands you see the songs she hears the words mean nothing disjointed guitar chords her song’s not finished, not yet Mixed emotion life lyrics heart beat, drum beat sing to her- cold lips, curled you voice quivers with simple words I wish you could see I will stay with you pick up your pieces and mix them with mine we will be tattered, but together Her life, in jumbles, the world’s in pieces you’ve gone and she’s struggling in emotionally inept quicksand A promise, a lie insecurity ridden mistakes make sure she knows wherever she stumbles you will catch her, keep her. |
