Goodbye
Is that hat I'm suppose to say?
A simply sweet farewell,
Maybe I'll see you another day?

Or maybe a loving hug and gentle kiss
Then, teary, watch you depart
Trying to ignore the poison dagger,
That repeatedly stabs my heart.

So long to you
So long to us
I'll let it go
I won't make a fuss

I'll hold my poise
I'll hold it in
But in you'll find
All that's real, not pretend

You'll find torrent seas of tears,
And caverns of endless hurt.
Clouds of pain and anguish,
And dried up hope for dirt.

Valleys of wilted flowers,
Poisoned by our ruined love.
And air polluted
By the cruel fate that we were wove

So I'll let you go
I'll say adieu
I'll act my part
This I'll do for you

But when you're gone
And I'm alone
I'll crumble and fall
Whispers of my agony will I intone
But you won't see
Because, to you, this is not me
In your mind, memories you'll keep
Of all I was, that you could see

You'll remember my smiles
You'll remember my laughs
You'll remember me as perfect
You'll remember all my masks

You'll remember me and think
How could she be so strong
But you will never know
Of all the things I long

I long to let you know
That I love you more than life
And that your forced departure
Leaves me lost in strife

That though I may appear
As though I do not care
You I won't forget
I would never dare

Every night and day
I'll think of all we had
I'll think of everything you said
To always keep me glad

I'll remember how you said
Your soul belonged to mine
And that no matter what
For me, you'd always try

But then the day came
They said you had to leave
That fateful day I'll always hate
When they took you away from me

But I knew you had to go
You knew you had to too
So we said our sweet farewells
And I let go of you

Oh my gosh...i think i am seriously going to cry! That is soo...sad! I am sorry about that.I hope everything got better or is getting better! You are a very talented writer! I have read some of your other poems, and they are really good! I hope i hear, or actually see more!

I honestly have to say that this is one of the best poems I have ever read in my entire life. It's just...wow. I totally completely fell you on this one. I'm definetely putting this in my library. Thanks for the read.
