“Fearful Calls” (17/01/04) © 2004 Brian Eggertsen, All Rights Reserved Payphone on 4th and main, hand picks it slowly up. Disturbed female voice gasps; “Devours, from beneath you…” Silence fill the listener, with an unexplained fear, Phone dangles by it’s cord, yet a soul’s lost it’s truth. “To continue talking, please insert…” But there’s no one there, to hear those words. Fearful Calls, Strangles listeners into murder victims. Concrete corner feeds on their despair, Each “ring’s” a burden unfit to bare. Fearful Calls, Maps each session ‘fore it even begins. Fearful Calls… Fearful Calls… Each brick walls infested, with each listeners blood stains. The writings on the wall: “Shadow-Ville’s moving in”. See them hiding ‘round town, mumbling, padded room talk. Another soul answer, penetration of skin… “To continue talking, please insert…” But there’s no one there, to hear those words. Fearful Calls, Strangles listeners into murder victims. Concrete corner feeds on their despair, Each “ring’s” a burden unfit to bare. Fearful Calls, Maps each session ‘fore it even begins. Fearful Calls… Fearful Calls… Each tear are disguised train wrecks. Each feeling avoid contact. Each call messes up their heads. Each stranger seems intact. Delusion “masks” the devils payphone, So, deep in-between the sand and stone, A homeless heart find itself less home…. “To continue talking, please insert…” But there’s no one there, to hear those words. Fearful Calls, Strangles listeners into murder victims. Concrete corner feeds on their despair, Each “ring’s” a burden unfit to bare. Fearful Calls, Maps each session ‘fore it even begins. Fearful Calls… Fearful Calls… No one’s able to stop The Fearful Calls, Fearful Calls, Fearful Calls, Everyone’s afraid of, The Fearful Calls. |
