this is another poem for my cousin nic.... beside you im throwing down my heart to lie on the ground next to yours. im shedding these dry tears because we both have emptied our store. im hanging onto prayers for this life is leaving us alone. im standing at the grave with you because pain has left you broken boned. im crying out to you because your sobs are so loud. im seeing right to all the pain inside that clouds. if only it was enough, if only sympathy could go so far, i'd help you find the way that leads you to her shining star. wind blows the leaves around our feet and the lights outside cast shadows, the falling snow makes a tearlit burial all the more desperately sorrowful. sing the sorrow in a strong voice, sing it until your throat bleeds black. sing the sorrow with your tears, im sure that nic already has.... now im alone, but not lonely like before |

I have to agree with branden. Once again, a very touching write. You're writing is some of the best I've seen around this forum in a while. |
