prayers that fall theres a place i go to escape the world i live in, theres a place i go where all is blacker than even here. this place is called Shadow's in Waiting. the night never fully comes, but day is held back as well. the shapes that slither by are so reminiscent of you. the words spoken here are hushed in whispers, the children's songs are played madly out of key, minor notes and sharpened pitches are the sounds i enjoy in the "park". fear runs and plays so rampantly in the darkened and ominous streets. all around prayers fall back down here as a shattered hope coming in rain. this is a place where mother's beat their children for a reward to obedience, the fathers are at the sadness bars getting drunk in each other's sorrows. whenever happiness appears all gather to fight it as an invader. i use to fight for happiness, tried to protect the children, i hid the packs of sorrw and threw the prayers to heaven. i died for this....again and again, they emptied my heart only to pour in sorrow. with that pumping through ones veins how can it not comsume you? how? it can't....i am lost, i am gone, i am the father who becomes drunk, i am the mother who beats the child, i am the child who hides in shadow and who's prayers fall back to him. This place has become my home, my heart was left here, my grave has been dug, my tombstone has been set. here i lie, here i die, there you go, now you know. here i cry, there you sigh quick to ignore, my heart on the floor. now im alone, but not lonely like before |
