Standing in the shadow of your glory, Is this a horror story? As I struggle to control my fury The counter-balance goes topsy-turvy Irritation, Sensation, Deliberation, Fixation I am forever blind by your everlasting beauty, Too precious to touch, But it tortures me, every single day You take a step closer, and it rains rose petals From the Highest Heaven, to the Deepest Depths of Hell, I would follow you, Like a man possessed, A Fixed thought, drilled into my skull. Expectation, Elation, Imitation, Confrontation So here I am, telling a story, That would usually sound so corny, Shall I release my fury? Or continue to stand in the shadow of your glory? |

I really like the way this is written. "There are some days where i believe i might die of an overdose of satisfaction" |

Agreed with the person above me, this poem is written really well. I especially loved the line: "You take a step closer, and it rains rose petals" Great write, hope to read more from you soon! ~Alli~ |

Your a somewhat new member, so WELCOME!! Pip happens to be a great place to get your poetry out, and to be heard. With that said. AMAZING poem Joseph! I really enjoyed reading this, and since this is the very first poem I've read by you, I'm not ready to give too much feedback. I enjoyed your piece, so lets see some more!!! Much love, Michelle *I love him oh yes I do, he's for me and not for you, and if by chance you take my place, I'll take my fist and smash your face!* |
