Helping Him Turning up that sad song, to drown him out of my head. Pretending they don't hurt (the words that he said). Trying to hold to my pride, one day at a time. Like tempting lies revealed, I followed every line. Looking over the obvious has never hurt this bad, but this second time around, makes me wish I never had. For every scar that's healed, another takes its place, and the knife that cuts right through my skin is buried in his taste. The words are resting on his lips. The lies, planted deep within. His mind is filled with nothing, but tragedy and sin. My fairytale was broken as soon as I turned my back, and I found that simple pleasures were everything I lacked. After all the moments of deceit, and the scars that may not heal... I realize that pretending, is only helping him. By: Heather Sullivan 08-19-06 Desire nothing except desirelessness. Hope for nothing except to rise above all hopes. |

Um...as I read this I would read a stanza and be like "That's my favorite part" then read the next one and change my mind. Wow...I'd have to say this is one of the best written poems I've read in awhile. You did such a good job! I loved every line of it. This was definitly a breath a fresh air :] I can't wait to see more (adding to my library :-) ) <3Erin myspace username-beautiful_tragidy |

Thank you so much. Tapper.. I am flattered.. I've been having trouble lately getting inspiration to write. I'd be down or upset and feel like I could write but when I started I couldn't think of anything to say.. This is my latest and hopefully sometime soon i will have more.. ~Always~ ~Heather~ Desire nothing except desirelessness. Hope for nothing except to rise above all hopes. |
