Beauty is in everything It’s in reason to be living Existing in all the most unusual places Beauty I can find in even scarred faces It brings itself out into the light When you see it you know its right Beauty is there in the spider’s web Twisted and woven in silky threads A young person who is struggling hard to learn Coming from hardship facing pain at each turn The look on their face, that they will do All they can just to prove make it through Impoverished wives in poorer lands Raising children the best as they can An elderly grandparent, loving life Giving warmth with all their might A child so little fighting off decease Knowing, death is when they get peace People who fight true for all that they believe Despite how wrong it is what they may perceive All those who know they are doomed Who keep fighting despite death soon The ones who hate how they were in the past Who have worked so hard, their unsurpassed Life will Still Bring them pain after hurts Never let rest, always on alert When all is lost they will still have faith Somehow, that there troubles will abate I can find beauty, wherever I might glance Won’t take long if you just give them a chance Being beautiful rarely ever can ever mean Not looking within, just at what they seem |

wow, i really enjoyed that poem. When i read this poem it reminded me how i used to(and sometimes still do, i admit) judge someone by their outward appearance, before knowing their inside. But their is beauty in everyone, everything, and everywhere. i totally and completely agree...i love this!! it sounds like you worked hard on it. hugs -missy=) |

Hey rhia! Thanks for the beautiful reminder! It's much needed by me, I sometimes forget how much it can hurt a person by mocking their outward appearance. Which I should never forget because I hate it when people do that to me too. I'm going to keep this poem book marked as a reminder whenever I get off track... Thanks a bunch for sharing! I loved this poem, you are very talented in being able to show a "lesson" in your poems. I love reading them!  @-->--- |
