where my heart is

what else do you want? you're running me dry,
and i know you'd leave if i asked why.
but sometimes it takes too much from me,
just to make you happy.

i do everything in attempt to make you proud,
but you give it back to me, flipped around.
you say i need to be there for you,
but how can i if you keep falling through?

you say im no one, and i dont matter,
but when you need some one, i cant be far,
you say i dont belong,
but when you need a friend, im a rhyme in your song

i cant do everything for you,
unless i matter even when you want something new.
