This ode was written soon after "The New Journey" and both, this more then ever, were inspired by my grandma's unfortunate passing via organ failure when I was 12. -------------------------- A Rose for Anita It's been three long years since I've last seen your face your laughter is gone like handprints in the sand But I still remember the days we have spent shopping and talking like two old friends The time I last saw you was on the day of thanks but all I could think about was how you were doing Later that night I saw your skelatal form just like seeing a ghost instead of my grandmother My mind was racing after seeing your face usually strong with pride but then consumed with fear But your memory is not of the weakness outside but of the strong willed woman inside of your heart |
