Whimsical In Blue and Gray

There’s nothing better than a heart attack in the middle
Of a moment of importance.
Open mouthed, gaping, as though some thought
Has struck like lightning through ones’ core.
We are all brilliant in impending death,
A self-proclaimed genius in the after-life,
Or rather, the subject of idiots.
No one is noble with the coldest blue
Applied like whorish cosmetics,
But they will still ply our hands into
A symbol of rest, as if anyone
Sleeps
In such an awkward position.
I just want to scream “at ease soldier”
And “drop and give me 50” when no response comes.
How cruel to mock the dead, you say.
I say how cruel it is for the dead
To mock
The living
In casual pose and posthumous prose.
I have gone too far now.
End.

The first time I read this silently to myself.. i didn't get it at first.. but then... I read it to myslef outloud.. and everything you were saying fell right into place.. this was a great piece by you.. I love your choice of words and the topic that you chose.. great job..

You always write beautifully.. especially poems that make you think.

Want nothing & you will have everything.

Again...i love it its dark, its expressive, its in plain black and white, but for feeble minds it seems complex (sry if anyone who reads this didnt understand it lol) I am officially in love with your poetry...
