There was a girl
and no one liked her
she thought she was cool
she didnt have a clue

She didnt mind the stares
she ignored the back stabbing
and she found it hard to bare
in mind that the whole world laughed at her

She wore orange pants with green spots
her shirt was always tucked in with the back out
and she wore red clown shoes
she didnt care because she liked it

She can have this her own way
No one can force her not to be differant
She got her own say
And she likes it

They're all fashion victems
craving new looks
all she cares about is getting an education
she reads only books- and she likes it

Dare to be differant is her motto
and she doesnt care when people laugh at her
she laughs right back at them
fashion victems that are faking everything

this was a great poem

...so much of it is true.. all these people in school care about friends and parties. They do not stop to think about why they are in school..to learn!!

Jezzika is right, so many kids are there for some fantasy fashion show, it's sad. Jezzika happens to be brainy and beautiful....but she doesn't get sucked into the garbage at school. She does her thing...and get's A's.

I wish more kids felt this way....

This was a great poem. I loved the way you described the character's clothes. and I agree... this is true.. I once found myself trying to be like everyone else and now I know that if I like it.. then it doesn't matter.
