Saddness tainting the mind Man in black comes to take such a young life away Making forgiveness hard to find. Now heads are held in saddness and dismay Losing someone so well known The overwhelming saddness Brings pain that's not wanted to be shown Taking over all the maddness Head hung low in sorrow The pain and sorrow consuming me Not wanting to look to tomorrow Trying to hide, not letting anyone see The heart is filled with regret Not knowing what to do The sad stage has been set Pain tearing the heart through and through The overwhelming saddness Head hung low in sorrow Taking over all the maddness Not wanting to look to tomorrow The pain and sorrow consuming thee Losing someone that means this much Trying to hide, not letting anyone see Living without it, just isnt enough Starting to lose the mind Thinking of the things that should have been done As saddness hurts the heart inside These things remain to be left unsung ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ a girl at my old school just passed away on monday. she was about to graduate as validictorian of her class and she was the drum major of our marching band that won state. she was also an active member of the school's rodeo team and FFA. she was well loved and will be greatly missed. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ love will make you beautiful |

wow this is really sad, but i must say...the poem flows incredibly well. i'm really thankful that no one from my class has ever died, but we came close when someone was diagnosed with brain cancer and it does make you think about all of this. i think you captured this feeling well, and this is a really pretty poem. thanks for sharing. bergundy p.s. wow? rodeo? that's weird! i've never heard of a school having a rodeo, but it sounds kinda neat lol. At least we're still friends! At least we're still alive!--Alkaline Trio |
